The temperature reached 61 degrees Fahrenheit yesterday, but just a few nights ago the thermometer plummeted to ONE degree above zero. What's with this crazy weather? Is it a fluke, or a harbinger of what global warming has in store for us?
Anyway, just last Friday we took a drive and it looked like this, a few days after a storm gave us 7 or 8 inches of snow:
The road runs past a creek.
All that lovely white snow is gone, replaced by mud and water. We had a thunderstorm last night--in January!--and will probably have another today, along with a 60-degree high temperature.
I'd really rather it just stayed wintry.
