No, not the trees--the flowers here on the homestead.
We planted some hardy mums this year. We'd been talking about it, and then when my sister Jana gave us a potted mum, we knew the time had come.
And then there are the nasturtiums, which have bloomed beautifully all summer and so far this fall.

If these are the views I can see from my window, I'd probably never go far from it. I know I'm a guy, but I like flowers… I guess my mother taught me how to see 'em as a great example of what "life" is. That's why I can't help but like 'em. I can grow more flowers near my window…
